Leds make your computer run better.
Red = Faster
Blue = Cooler
Green = Eco friendly at the cost of performance

Which is why I plan on building a PC with all a bunch of Christmas lights wrapped around it, with an equal number of red, blue, and green lights

Don't forget to put used socks inside so Santa could give you a new gpu every year.

Never get really into computers if you don't have the money to buy those state of the art behemoths

What is your set up? My knowledge on PCs is pretty limited.
#45 to #38 - anon (12/07/2015) [-]
This is what it looks like, i don't know all the specs and i am too lazy to look em up but i can tell you what equipment i use if you want it? (so everything but the pc itself)
User avatar #46 to #45 - thefourthdirective ONLINE (12/07/2015) [-]
I'm all set with my speakers, keyboard mouse, etc. Thanks, my computer is pretty outdated and I've lost all my knowledge.

You should ask someone who knows what's what, i don't know that much about it either
Also, second hand.

When I have a house built, I'm going to have a small closet that serves as a "server room".

Then I'm just going to have an HDMI (and USB) outlet in the wall, along with a small button, which is the PCs power button.

The only things at my desk will be the mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Meanwhile my computer can go generate all the noise and heat it wants in some unused corner of the house.

I might actually have multiple computers running to multiple places. Perhaps a touchscreen recessed in the kitchen wall to pull up recipes, netflix, music, or whatever else you might want while cooking.

There will over course be a light-weight media-server rig, with a **** ton of HDDS to store and share information between all the computers.

and then you get a wife and all that **** goes out the door
User avatar #42 to #41 - medexplain (12/07/2015) [-]
Why would my wife not want my noisy, heat generating computer on the other side of the house? Along with a super-clean and tidy office?

Also, the touchscreen computer in the kitchen would be super helpful to everyone ever. Who am I going to marry that's going to complain about having netflix and music and **** built into the kitchen wall?

because that's where her walk-in closet should be/baby stuff
User avatar #37 to #30 - kingbulbasaur (12/07/2015) [-]
That's actually a really cool idea.
Be sure to post it on here when you come around to making it happen!
User avatar #43 to #37 - medexplain (12/07/2015) [-]
Hah, that's a long, long way off. 1.5 years before graduation, then who knows how many before I actually buy a house.

And I'm not sure there will be much to post about. The whole point aim is to keep everything hidden and tucked away. Not much to take pictures of!
User avatar #44 to #43 - kingbulbasaur (12/07/2015) [-]
If you do it right, you'd be surprised by how many people get a massive hard-on from great wire management. (Myself included)
#19 - jewfrosdsd (12/07/2015) [-]
All of these are pretty cool concepts but most of them have their flaws.

PC Simpit Reminds me of this

Love how the first one uses really crappy samsung monitors.
**** tier.
#16 to #13 - anon (12/07/2015) [-]
That and the flexible tubing instead of hardline even though they're clipping it all to a board anyway, the single gpu for triple monitors, the wonderful pcie ribbon cables, the radiator that has to sit on a shelf next to the rest of the system, and the nice slow green drives to contrast with the black drives right next to them

Nice large bevels for 'dat gaming experience'

My lil build
User avatar #26 - lovot (12/07/2015) [-]
The fans in #4 are **** , they are noisy (compared to other brands I have used), and their bearings fail after about a year and start vibrating the case. In my experience Enermax produces better, quieter fans, possibly other suppliers too, but I haven't tried them all yet.
#36 to #26 - anon (12/07/2015) [-]
tried many types, gelid brand are best so far.
#25 - kongdong (12/07/2015) [-]
**kongdong used "*roll picture*"**
**kongdong rolled image** some of these look like they'd explode if you look at them funny.

The third one that's part of the desk looks fantastic
#14 to #4 - anon (12/07/2015) [-]
With the lovely stock cooler for the finishing touch
User avatar #15 to #14 - tacoiiimaniac ONLINE (12/07/2015) [-]
Exactly! It's perfect.
#17 to #15 - anon (12/07/2015) [-]
Like building a big fancy display case then storing only dirty diapers with it
#3 - lollypopalopicus ONLINE (12/06/2015) [-]
Damn that top one looks nice. Hell they all do. That one with the chair built into the desk looks cramped though. Then again, that is probably because I need to rearrange my chair a lot.
