Ireland and Northern Ireland form a bear throwing itself towards Scotland, Wales and England.

If you don't see it, Northern Ireland includes most of the head with it's ears being located on Ireland.

User avatar #48 to #39 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
And what has New Zealand done to even TRY to make the world even a little better? Modern America pretty much sucks at that but WW2 America was the **** ...
User avatar #49 to #48 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
WW2, America only joined because of Pearl Harbour, and then they decimated 2 major parts of Japan with Nuclear Bombs.
User avatar #50 to #49 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
We did supply a lot equipment to the Allies before our entry, and there is pretty much no way it could have ended the way it did without the U.S. There would have been over a million American casualties and tenfold that for the Japanese, so in retrospect those bombs saved about 11 million people. I know it wasn't exactly morally right.
User avatar #51 to #50 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
I'll give you that, but if Pearl Harbour never happened, America might not have even joined the war. Way to turn up late and take all the credit.
User avatar #60 to #51 - shadowhorn (11/01/2013) [-]
In fact, FDR was just waiting for an excuse to jump into the war, and Pearl Harbor provided the perfect launch pad. I'm sure the U.S. wouldve joined at some point anyway.
User avatar #52 to #51 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
The Europeans did most of the fighting and dying in Europe, that's a fact. But The Americans did 99% of the fighting and dying in the Pacific, which was rumored to be much less hospitable than Europe, being that almost every citizen on a Japanese-controlled island would rather die in battle or commit suicide before surrender. The Japanese didn't even have a WORD for "Surrender", because that was pretty much the first war they have ever lost in thousands of years. They were tough as nails, but the soldiers persevered. THAT'S what modern America needs.
User avatar #61 to #52 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
Let's just agree that Modern America needs a great big ******* wake up call. They need to admit they're not the best, because they obviously aren't.
User avatar #63 to #61 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
******* agreed. I'm ashamed to be in this country in the time we live in...
User avatar #64 to #63 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
Most Americans have Patriot Syndrome. They see all of America's Pro's, but ignore the cons. Those of us outside of America see it as the "Kid on the Playground that loves himself too much, even though he's a complete idiot"
User avatar #65 to #64 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
Most of the country is too close-minded. I'm not trying to toot my own horn or whatever but I get it. I totally get where everybody else is coming from when they talk about the cons of America. What country are you from, man?
User avatar #66 to #65 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
England, America's Disappointed Father.
User avatar #67 to #66 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
Do you ever think that most countries have their own form of Patriot Syndrome? Like how the French believe that they are the most fabulous and sophisticated people in the world?
User avatar #68 to #67 - megatrollinator (11/01/2013) [-]
I will admit, I have suffered from Patriot Syndrome myself. I love my country sometimes, because of how intelligent we can be. But, I wish we would just grow the **** up.
User avatar #70 to #68 - trystanvierra (11/01/2013) [-]
That's something all countries need to take away from world events and experiences...

We made the bomb that ended the war.
Nevermind all the hubbub about nukes that came after the war.
