you can't really **** around killing civilians in AC. you accidentally kill like 2 and you get desynced.

That's why you have to make those 2 count

In all of my gaming experience, I had never realized that you're no longer allowed to replay a game after completing it.

Huh.

the ac games, to me, have poor replay value for some reason, they're great games. i just cant play them a second time. rockstar games, however, are real fun a second time ive played red dead, la noire, gta 4 and 5 all multiple times, its just personal preference i guess

just started ac4 the second time. i couldn't finish it first, cuz my windows died and had to reinstall an **** . i was at 75% maybe. i had all mayan and templar keys and what not. i dont even feel like playing the main story anymore.

Honestly I don't think Ive ever replayed a game in my life.
I fcking adore the Zelda games, main reason Im buying nintendo consoles but theres not a chance Im going through all that **** twice.

Except for Dishonored.. But that was more for the challenge of beating it non-lethal ghost mode.

So I stick to MMOs.. Mainly WoW, atm Wildstar, some ArcheAge and waiting for Black Desert Online.

You can replay all the AC games. I've done it multiple times...

That's the joke.

A lot of games lately aren't too great the second time. Which is why no matter what I will put it on the hardest difficulty possible to get as much out of it as I can.
User avatar #4 to #3 - KevinPutt (08/21/2014) [-]
I think it's easier to get more out of it if you play on the normal difficulty first, and then the hard/ ******* impossible difficulty to further challenge you
User avatar #5 to #4 - kyrozor ONLINE (08/21/2014) [-]
Easier. Obviously it's going to be easier on an easier difficulty. Thing is plenty of current games don't do a lot of fluffing out. So I find playing on harder difficulties, getting stuck and having to try many different avenues or ration grenades or look around for any if at all things like spare ammo or a gun with more than half a clip or something. Is more fulfilling because you have to think - even in brainless games you have to put at least a little bit of thought into how you're going to progress. Especially since a ton of games normal difficulty is still handholding.

Which also sucks because artificial difficulty isn't fun either. So it's a weigh up but I take my chances.

I really enjoyed Farcry 3 but couldn't play it on normal because even on Warrior it still takes 2 of my own grenades at my feet to kill me.

You didn't actually read what he wrote did you? You just stopped at easier and were like boy have I got a response to that.
User avatar #22 to #16 - kyrozor ONLINE (08/21/2014) [-]
Some things aren't worth replaying. But you don't know that before you play them. So to me it's the best way to get what you pay for - which is more time played and more enjoyability most of the time depending on the game.

So I'd rather play it once and struggle, than twice and just run through it with relative ease. And potentially not play it again.

I have replayed all of my assassin creed games like 3 times because I want to keep getting high synchronization.

Has anyone considered that maybe
Just maybe
He had already played through the game for fun before he beat it for speed?

even if, thats a really long time. modern speedrunners do crazy less amounts, i.e. world record for ocarina of time is 18 minutes atm
#13 to #9 - johnnyhypa (08/21/2014) [-]
18 mins? It takes me that long to find the sword and buy a wooden shield.
#10 to #9 - anon (08/21/2014) [-]
Yeah, but using glitches. Still, such a speedrun could have sense if the Internet of today didn't exist and you could brag about being the best speedrunner among your friends. Too bad he's going to get **** in his face because people will compare his results with professional speedrunners'.
#14 to #10 - viddy (08/21/2014) [-]
On an irrelevant note, how does one earn a living by doing speed runs?
