Android App Hacking: Tutorial. I'd link the apps, but I feel this might get removed just for not being completely ok as it is. The image is split into 2 pieces.

I'd link the apps, but I feel this might get removed just for not being completely ok as it is. The image is split into 2 pieces. Hope I don't get b& from google games, I spent my entire summer competing with other fags in getting the best score. It's like a tightrope race - go too fast and you fall.

Pretty cool, but I find this to be morally wrong, so I won't use it.
User avatar #37 to #5 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
I mean it IS meant for educational purposes, not encouraging people to cheat

this is the sort of **** that will drive developers away from even bothering to make games for android devices...
User avatar #13 to #9 - dgurevich (09/05/2015) [-]
No. This is the kind of **** that will make them realize the current model isn't working.
Instead, they'll try something new. Something that does not rip you off.
**** developers who do this.
The only games I'd play on android are emulated titles.
#14 to #13 - eliwenn (09/05/2015) [-]
either way they're going to make money. frankly there will be some way to prevent stuff like this being used before they reform their business model but when it does come to reforming their business model it's still going to be something that rips you off, when has that ever changed?

don't hate at me for it, it's business and they can and do make money from it. i just straight up avoid playing those kinds of games
User avatar #15 to #14 - dgurevich (09/05/2015) [-]
You are right.
Still, I wonder if OP's method of 'cracking' these 'free' games qualifies as piracy?
For example: you are a pissed off developer who found out your free to play game was cracked, and you no longer receive revenue.
What can you do legally against the 'criminals' who do not pay for in-game items?
User avatar #30 to #15 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
these aint my methods,
where I live (eastern EU ) this is common knowledge among experienced android users. which means I had an android for 4 months.

I'm prettu sure common sence defines this as stealing or just illegal, as it means getting stuff worth money for free or just simply abusing the system.

All devs need to do is encrypt values, confirm transactions with servers and hide/encrypt data files stores locally.
User avatar #39 to #13 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
its true that this system needs to be fixed, but dont get your hopes up.
If theres money to be made, money will be made.
btw, what system do you emulate?
I used to play gba games but stopped after I lost my pokemon emerald save.
User avatar #59 to #39 - dgurevich (09/06/2015) [-]
GBA also.
I keep the save data in google drive, and dropbox, so I doubt it would be lost.
User avatar #17 to #13 - cuntism (09/05/2015) [-]
lol wut. No. It'll make em implement a way that can't be gamed. The amount of users represented as a percentage who take advantage of these system is historically about 0.1%. Mobiles I would expect that to drop to about 100th of that. Purely because it takes a rooted system to begin with.

So the developers, in most cases, wouldn't even bother protecting against this
User avatar #38 to #17 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
honestly, never mind the type of game, if it has a competitive multiplayer system, I'll enjoy an unhackable game much more that a game like atomas, simply because other people cant cheat either, its an equal playground.

hacking is ruining the games for me, but I cant stop. It's the devs who need to prevent this, not the users. A system is only perfect once its flaws are fixed, not ignored.
User avatar #26 to #9 - jonball ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
i couldn't care less, they are all **** with ''micro'' transactions everywhere.
User avatar #11 to #9 - brokentrucker ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
Why would you even wwant to bother with android games when there are legit, mobile consoles (psp/vite/DS) that have actual controller thingies as a standard, rather than the few and far between phones with any kind of controller, PLUS, a much larger library of quality games?
#12 to #11 - eliwenn (09/05/2015) [-]
i don't personally play games on mobile devices unless i'm in bed and fancy a quick game of chess against a level one AI because i'm absolutely **** at chess however, i know some people play a bunch of **** on them because they like casual gaming

that said I do think mobile gaming is going to gain more popularity, the hardware is only going to get better, and while some of the in-built controller tablets have just been a flop, the potential is there, there just needs to be a happier medium
User avatar #29 to #12 - brokentrucker ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
Even DS and sch has better casual games, IMO.
User avatar #31 to #29 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
true, but you non-hardcore handheld gamers will always choose mobile games, because the main function of the device is communication and information gathering. mobile games are a very popular bonus. Good thing if you can afford an actual handheld, but personally I'd uist stick to mobile games, since with things like aptoide >90% of mobile games in existence I can play for free.
#1 - xskullgirlsx (09/04/2015) [-]
I would enjoy this even more if I actually owned an Android phone...

My ****** I-phone and me 4 never
User avatar #2 to #1 - solain (09/05/2015) [-]
can't you trade it in or something?
User avatar #19 to #1 - traks (09/05/2015) [-]
Jailbreak?
User avatar #32 to #19 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
thats like rooting, yes, but you still cant access files with freedom like android. not sure but I think at most you can install games for free, not actually hack.
#28 - drsmall (09/05/2015) [-]
Android dev here.
pic related.

make hackproof aps
User avatar #7 - inzix ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
righto, how the **** do you root? i've found lots of **** but i don't trust it, i want an easy way without the "samsung kies" **** , oh and the phone is an Samsung galaxy S5, i only want the one that allows you to "purchase" packs for free, mostly for gun club 2 because i loved that **** on my jailbreaked ipod, oh god yes.
User avatar #20 to #16 - inzix ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
Righto, is this **** safe? i know it isn't completely safe and it might brick your device, but how big is the chance of this happening? also i don't ******* trust cnets article on this, thats like learning how to hack on a Time magazine.
User avatar #36 to #20 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
and a note:
posting incorrect information and methods that will hurt your possesion is illegal, so cnet couldnt post bad info. and, its qritten by people with more than half a brain, and taken from expert forums, ones you wount find on the first page of googellel
User avatar #41 to #36 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
wait i read the article nevermind
User avatar #40 to #36 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Righto, still my device is unsupported by the kingo stuff so nada
#42 to #40 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
dude towelroot supports the s5 this is literally the easiest possible root method for any device
User avatar #45 to #42 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
It might be that i only have 19% power it is charging though , i'll try again when i have 100%
User avatar #47 to #45 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]

stopping root mid process is how most bricks happen,
didn't the tutorials say that?
a bit late but I'll spoonfeed you
for towelroot you just need to keep ypur device undisturbed for some time, and have it charged.
for the adb hack (with pc) you nee drivers, usb debbuging, a usb cable, lots of baterry and sometimes to reboot manually.

if you're scarred to try something, no, whenever you try something new and dangerous always read lost. basic footing safety, methods, step by step instrucgions, and ALWAYS back up, even though I for example never lost any data.
User avatar #48 to #47 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
The rooting didn't start at all so i didn't stop it, towelroot looks like it isn't doing anything except tell me that my device is unsupported, although i will try again when i have more power. I need this **** to happen. If towelroot says that it is working or something similar i wont touch my phone until it says so.
User avatar #49 to #48 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
google usb root, if towel cant for some reason they will.
just dont lose the motivation cause this is gonna be a bit tricky.
for now install a usb program of your choice, and follow its instructions. a popular device like the s5 can surely be rooted.
User avatar #50 to #49 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Okay, but that'll be for later, i'll wait until i have 70%, reboot and then try towelroot again, if that **** doesn't work i'll do the USB rooting.
User avatar #51 to #50 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
let me know if towelroot works and good luck
User avatar #52 to #51 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
I will, and thank you, it means alot for someone to actually spend their time trying to help a poor faggot no homo with an unrooted phone.
User avatar #53 to #52 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
I know the struggle
User avatar #54 to #53 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Towelroot no work i'll try USB root now
User avatar #55 to #54 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
the hardest part will be getting the correct drivers. google s5 developer options, there youll find usb debugging. the program should handle the rest
User avatar #58 to #55 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
lol i manually rebooted and now it works and it is rooted with SuperUS
#57 to #55 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Okay, i currently is in "download mode" and the download has finnished, the tutorial says that the phone will now reboot into recovery mode but it won't reboot, by reboot do they mean that i need to manually reboot?
User avatar #56 to #55 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Yup, will try with the "CF Auto Root" thingie, currently getting the USB drivers.
User avatar #43 to #42 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Nope it doesn't support the S5, atleast not in my case.
User avatar #44 to #43 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
maybe you're doing it wrong?
are you sure:
1. you have a s5
2. you successfully onstalled towelroot
3. clicked 'make it ra1n'
4 waited for a bunch of restarts
?
for example ****** s3 neo is so **** back in winter there were no tutorials to root cause no-one bought it. only in spring I managed to do it with a program on my pc, srs root or something.
User avatar #46 to #44 - inzix ONLINE (09/06/2015) [-]
Yeah, G900F is the device stuff, i press "make it ra1n", it says my device is currently unavailable, this has happened to me ALOT, ive tried many APK roots but they all say that my device is unavailable. But this one i have faith in.
User avatar #21 to #20 - goldenhamburger (09/05/2015) [-]
I tried it, and it worked.
User avatar #23 to #21 - inzix ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
Oh and it doesn't support my phone.
User avatar #22 to #21 - inzix ONLINE (09/05/2015) [-]
hmm, still i never trust articles like this, **** like this should come from a neckbeard with nothing else to do than **** with OSs and **** . Not something like cnet
User avatar #35 to #22 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
true, this is up to you, but without taking risks you will never achieve much. You can't trust a ghost on fj telling you its real, but I'll tell you this;
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699648

these you can actually trust.

User avatar #24 - ghirahn (09/05/2015) [-]
While i would love to do this, i don't trust my skills with the intricasies of rooting.
User avatar #34 to #24 - jacoban [OP](09/06/2015) [-]
if you own a popular phone a windows/linux program will do it for you. also try towelroot, its a rooting app, a bit tricky to install but works like a charm.

I wish I could find a root for my HTC DNA, but searched high and low and couldnt find a free one
On my droid razr, I just used Freedom.apk.

Nice. Wish you could do it without rooting thou, but meh it works.

it's a pay to win game
so you literally just changed the 'game' into press an even fewer amount of buttons with even less effect each
