Spartan is Roman for faggot.

because when the boys were sent out into the wilderness to survive on their own, they often ****** each other

Homosexuality was so strongly a part of Roman culture that they actually thought it was odd if a man didn't have a male lover. They certainly wouldn't consider the Spartans to be faggots.

Sacred band of thebes is a different story.

> because when the boys were sent out into the wilderness to survive on their own, they often ****** each other

That's just rubbish

You mean when the boys were sent out of Sparta to fend for themselves, Since there was no women in their group, surviving off the land and so on, They didn't **** each other when they had urges?...

Are you trying to defend Spartans that much that you're even trying to deny that Sparta was a "HOMOSEXUAL MILITARY"?...

"the Spartan tradition of military heroism has also been explained in light of strong emotional bonds resulting from homosexual relationships"

And Gladius is also Latin for sword/penis
User avatar #22 to #4 - greyhoundfd (12/05/2015) [-]
No, Phallus is Latin for penis. Gladius just means "gladius sword", and was only sometimes used as a euphemism for penis. Now vagina, that translates as sheath, but literally refers to the place where you "keep your sword", so how it became it's present English definition is pretty obvious.
