I'm still hoping someone makes an edit where everything goes silent, and then suddenly looming over the distance, the THX noise is faint, and then the THX logo suddenly appears over the mountain top and the sound becomes louder and louder. I must have that edit. Give me that edit. Please.

More accurately every film begins with a shot of some sort of space ship over a planet or in space. Wouldn't it be awesome if the Force Awakens begun 29 years before with the battle of Jaku? However, my guess is it'll start with Finn in a Star Destroyer
Ep I - Jedi shuttle landing in a space station bay, the first thing that we can count as a space battle not seen until the end of Act I, when the Naboo cruiser storms the blockade
Ep II - Naboo Shuttle making its way to Coruscant, the first thing that we can count as a space battle somewhere durng Act II, when Obi-Wan chases/is chased by the Fetts
Ep III - an actual space battle, guess you get a point
Ep IV - a singular spaceship attacking another singular spaceship, and boarding it within the first minute or two, but hey, let's give you another point
Ep V - Imperial Star Destroyer sending a probe droid to Hoth, the first thing that we can count as a space battle not seen until the end of Act I, when the Falcon is chased by the Empire
Ep VI - Imperial Shuttle landing in a space station bay, the first thing that we can count as a space battle not seen until the ******* CLIMAX
Apparently two out of six films (if we're being generous) = literally every film
You god damn retard
Cool goalpost moving.
Also, the only episode that begins with "fighting in space" other than III and IV, IF you stretch the definition of both "beginning" and "fighting", would be Ep I, where there's a starship exploding and a couple of droids lightsaber'd on a space station.
All the other ones go right to a planet within the first few minutes, hell, other than Ep VI, it takes a minute OR LESS to get from the "pan down from the opening crawl" scene to landing on a planet. So you're up to 3/6, and only because I'm nice I don't want to cause your tard wrangler any trouble once you chimp out.
And, hey, what the hell, let's say your next argument will be "durr hurr they're on a planet other than Earth so it makes it space!", just for the fun of it. Then let's see what's the first action scene, shall we?
Ep II - a IED explodes a shuttle once it lands
Ep V - Luke gets manhandled by an angry Yeti after dicking around in the snow for god knows how long
Ep VI - Luke fights the Rancor at least 20 minutes into the movie.
Sure is "space" "batlle" in here. "Saving Private Ryan" had more of an opening space battle.
