It may be a custom cartridge with the internal parts from the Japanese Green version implanted. People do that

It wasn't released outside of Japan.

Too bad there's no international postal services like FedEx or UPS or online international shopping sites like eBay.

Some people have gone crazy and made their own Pokemon Greens. This guy even got a hacked english version of the Pokemon Green program that he plans to put into the cartridge casing.

He means the Green cartridge, the one that is actually the color green. It is not a real game, only the grey cartridge was produced by Pokemon.

The grey ones are Japanese carts but, the cart that is colored green is a fake because Nintendo never released colored carts until they released red and blue in the states. Green version was never released in the states therefore a green colored cart was never produced.

I'm not sure if I understand...
The green didn't come out of Japan, this I accept.
What hinders him from obtaining one from someone that got it in Japan, or perhaps he even was in Japan when it came?
I don't see it :s

This shows that fj needs to stop bandwagoning. He said a very understandable comment, and even stated it's awesome. And then you come along not noticing the English Green Version to the right of the Japanese one.

no no, you don't understand. If you take a product outside of the country in which it was produced, it spontaneously combusts.

I used to have that for my Gameboy Pocket. My aunt Rosie still has a Gameboy Color, so I gave it to her. I also used to have Donkey Kong Land, and Frogger. My God. Just thinking about it, and listening to the Pokemon Trading Card Game club master duel song is giving me a nostalgiagasm.

Okay, for people who are curios as to why there appears to be an 'American' version of Green up there, there isn't. There are actually 2 versions of Green in Japan. The second version fixed a fair number of bugs, and is the version that got ported to America. This person simply has Green 1 and Green 2, both from Japan.
