Nah bro. It's just an urban myth that glocks explode.

These are all higher-caliber variants. The 9mm is all you need.

What's the worst firearms company in history?

I've never seen a standard 9mm handgun blow up. Not even a JA-NINE.

Have you?
User avatar #168 to #164 - ScruffytheJanitor (10/15/2013) [-]
Yes, I have.
Hi Point C9 9mm Pistol blowing up
User avatar #169 to #168 - scowler (10/15/2013) [-]
It took a while for them to make that happen. I'm talking about normal conditions, not torture tests.
User avatar #171 to #170 - scowler (10/15/2013) [-]
The owner bought it used, and they were using reloads, which means a case rupture. One of the reasons you never buy reloads.

The person you pointed me to stole this video from the uploader. The uploader's video was one of the links at the end.
#173 to #171 - ScruffytheJanitor (10/16/2013) [-]
The point was that 9mm guns explode too, I'm not going into every single specific to satisfy your needs that 9mm guns are completely perfect. Also I do not care if the video was stolen.

(Correcting errors)
It wasn't the weapon, it was the ammunition.
9mm handguns will not explode unless you want them You have no solid evidence to the contrary. The matter is closed.
#176 to #175 - ScruffytheJanitor (10/16/2013) [-]
If the ammunition causes the weapon to explode, the weapon explodes. That is what we were discussing, the weapon itself exploding. It doesn't matter the cause, it doesn't matter the conditions, it doesn't matter the amount of damage, the fact is that the weapon exploded.

User avatar #177 to #176 - scowler (10/16/2013) [-]
No matter the conditions…
So, if a handgun works well at a practice range, it's automatically good enough for military use?

We weren't discussing anything. I made a remark about how useless a high-caliber, polymer-frame handgun was, and that 9mm is as far as you should go with that particular type of weapon.

The ammunition explodes, the weapon is damaged by the explosion, the status of your hand is dependent on the type of weapon.
#183 to #177 - ScruffytheJanitor (10/16/2013) [-]
I never claimed that if a weapon worked well at a firing range that it should be used immediately in the military. I'm simply saying that 9mm pistols do explode too.
User avatar #184 to #183 - scowler (10/16/2013) [-]
I know you didn't say it. It's just what it implies.

And the point here is that you have to actually TRY to get one to malfunction. Which means black powder reloads, or something….

User avatar #178 to #51 - explore (10/16/2013) [-]
I know how broken glocks can get, I was actually being sarcastic in my comment, I think it's obvious a gun that explodes is not reliable.
User avatar #179 to #178 - roliga (10/16/2013) [-]
Wow you really know nothing about Glocks. If you did you'd know that they haven't had that problem since the late 80's and it wasn't even the gun's fault; it was people handloading over pressurized .40 S&W rounds.
User avatar #180 to #179 - explore (10/16/2013) [-]
I never claimed to know a lot about Glocks, my friends dad had one at a firing range and the chamber burst whilst he was firing it, I based my comment upon personal experience.
User avatar #181 to #180 - roliga (10/16/2013) [-]
Then your friends dad is a ******* retard who over pressurized hand loaded .40 S&W rounds

Yeah but when you live in Florida and the population is 30% tanned sluts, 40% inbred hicks, and 30% soccer moms with the highlighted hair and the skin tight leopard-print leggings, it takes a toll on you.

Or I'm just being cynical.

I've always had the ability to look at things in action, and understand how they work.

A handgun is one of those things that I always thought was pretty simple, and was surprised to find out that most people don't have a clue how they function.
